A health priority
Volunteering is when you choose to help others or a cause without getting paid.
It's giving yourself away to share your time and skills to make the world better.
Volunteering is important for personal growth because it boosts your happiness, reduces stress, and gives you a sense of purpose.
It's also a health priority because it can improve your mental and emotional well-being, making you feel better both inside and out.

We now know that giving ourselves away can have a powerful impact on our mood and reduce symptoms of depression.
When we are feeling down, the quickest and most effective way of building happiness is by looking outward.
Volunteering has been found to boost our mood, reduce stress and help us live longer.
Amazingly, it even stretches our perception of time, making us feel less time poor and stressed.
This is a crucial point to remember, as the fast pace of our twenty-first-century life results in many of us feeling as if we are too busy to give ourselves away.
